Employment Standards MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, sociology, nursing, public health or a related field; OR a bachelor's degree and a valid Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) or Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:CPR certification, within 3 months of hire and maintained throughout CSB employment;Valid motor vehicle driver's license with fewer than six demerit points (or the equivalent in another State) maintained throughout employment with CSB;Medication Administration Assistance (VA) required within 3 months of hire.NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a Child Protective Services Registry check, a driving record check, and sanction screening to the satisfaction of the employer. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:One or more years of experience providing treatment to individuals with serious mental health and/or substance use disorders.One or more years of experience working in a residential treatment program.One or more years of experience as a counselor or counseling aide in a substance abuse treatment program.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Job duties are primarily performed on site at a residential treatment facility but may also include outreach and other community-based activities, as well as travel to designated meetings and trainings at other county locations.
