Job Description

The Logistics Specialist supports end-to-end ocean container movements across 2 ports, serving as a key point of coordination between port terminals, terminal points of contact, and contracted carriers. This role oversees container tracking through a relay-based logistics program that leverages small, time-based trucking partners-similar to an Uber model for freight-using algorithm-driven load pricing to move containers efficiently between locations. Responsibilities include managing each leg of container movement, from out-gating at the port, transport to off-dock yards, delivery to fulfillment centers, and returning empty containers back to terminals for reloading. The ideal candidate brings a strong bias for action, thrives in a fast-paced operational environment, and has prior logistics, transportation, or operational training, particularly in roles where they were responsible for fixing process gaps or driving operational improvements.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
