Your Role on the Team Position Summary: The Director, Supply Chain Management is responsible for the operational leadership, administrative oversight, and day-to-day management of all supply chain functions within the assigned facility or facilities, encompassing procurement, contract management, vendor relations, inventory management, materials distribution, and supply chain analytics across all assigned inpatient and ambulatory settings. The incumbent is accountable for directing departmental activities to ensure product availability, operational efficiency, cost management, and the uninterrupted supply of materials required to support the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in alignment with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards, including applicable state and federal requirements. This role maintains accountability for the planning, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of complex supply chain contracts, vendor agreements, and sourcing initiatives, ensuring fiscal responsibility and financial performance across all assigned supply chain functions at the facility level. The Director leads the development and implementation of departmental goals, policies, and performance improvement initiatives, and is responsible for the selection, onboarding, competency validation, performance evaluation, and professional development of all assigned supply chain coworkers. This position collaborates with clinical operations, nursing leadership, physicians, finance, compliance, and administrative leadership to align facility-level supply chain priorities with organizational goals and advance cost reduction, standardization, and supply chain continuity. The Director exercises wide latitude of authority with limited oversight in determining departmental goals and measures to achieve facility-level supply chain management objectives. In-depth knowledge of business subjects such as purchasing, inventory systems & controls, and/or accounting In depth knowledge of the most current materials management best practices and systems.
