A healthcare facility is seeking a skilled pharmacist to support its outpatient infusion services at a cancer center. This role is based in Woodbridge, VA, with a potential contract-to-hire opportunity. The position starts as soon as possible and involves working in an acute care hospital known for its comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities include preparing and dispensing medications, particularly chemotherapy and infusion therapies, ensuring safe and effective treatment plans, and collaborating closely with medical teams. Pharmacists in this setting will utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems to manage medication orders and inventory. On-call and weekend coverage is not required. Key qualifications and desired experience: Valid Virginia Pharmacist license Experience with hospital pharmacy operations, outpatient infusion, and chemotherapy Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems Strong attention to detail and patient safety focus Ability to work effectively within a pharmacy team Schedule and Location: Work hours typically 7:30 am to 4:00 pm or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Pharmacy operational hours from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Position based in Fredericksburg, VA, within a 380-bed acute care hospital This contract position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to specialized cancer care in a collaborative professional environment without weekend or on-call demands.
