A pharmacist role is available for an overnight shift at a women's healthcare facility, providing pharmaceutical care throughout the medication management process to patients ranging from newborns to adults. This contract opportunity spans 14 weeks, beginning in early March, with a schedule of 7 days on followed by 7 days off, working from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC. Location: Katy, TX (Primary site at 6651 Main Street, Houston, TX) Responsibilities: Ensure the appropriateness of medication doses based on patient diagnosis, weight, allergies, and potential drug interactions. Accurately enter medication orders into the computer system. Verify medications before dispensing to prevent errors. Process and deliver medication orders in a timely manner, adhering to established guidelines. Maintain aseptic technique and infection control standards in preparation of sterile products. Enforce aseptic technique adherence among pharmacy staff and complete annual recertification with a minimum score of 90%. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience, preferably including pediatric care. Valid Texas pharmacist license. ACPE IV Certification required. Demonstrated knowledge in medication safety, aseptic technique, and pharmaceutical care for diverse patient populations.
