Position Summary Tulane University's Deming Department of Medicine is seeking a hematologist-oncologist to serve as a Clinician Researcher in Malignant Hematology with a Lymphoma Specialization within the Section of Hematology/Oncology. The successful candidate will contribute to our efforts to expand the Malignant Hematology program, including Stem Cell therapeutics, ensuring excellence in clinical care, research, and education. This position is ideal for an ABIM-certified (or eligible) hematologist-oncologist with experience in hematologic malignancies, stem cell transplantation, and/or cellular immunotherapy. The candidate should have a demonstrated interest in clinical trial development, translational research, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Key Responsibilities * Clinical Care: Provide exceptional patient care in hematologic malignancies with a focus on Lymphoma. * Research & Clinical Trials: Develop and lead investigator-initiated and collaborative clinical trials supported by the Tulane Cancer Center's Clinical Trials Office. Work closely with laboratory scientists to advance translational research. * Education & Mentorship: Train and mentor fellows, residents, and medical/graduate students in hematologic malignancies and cellular therapeutics. * Institutional Collaboration: Engage with Tulane Cancer Center leadership and the broader university community. Research & Innovation * Contribute to the clinical and translational research in cellular therapeutics, immunotherapy, and regenerative medicine. * Collaborate with institutional and national partners on clinical trials and grant-funded projects. * Encourage faculty and fellows to engage in research, publications, and presentations at national and international conferences. * Pursue research projects that contribute to the understanding and management of hematological disease with the goal of publishing these findings. Qualifications Required: * MD, DO, or foreign equivalent. * BE/BC in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology. * Eligible for a Louisiana medical license. Preferred: * Experience in developing and implementing clinical trials. * Clinical use of cellular therapy products and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. * A record of peer-reviewed publications. * A record of extramural research funding.
