However, the Preschool Program is located in the Friends Care Center, a non school environment and serves students from the Yellow Springs and Cedar Cliff school districts. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education with either an Intervention Specialist or Early Education of the Handicapped LicensureValid Ohio Department of Education Teaching LicenseSelf motivated and holds experience working with children with a variety of special needs Experience and/or training with Autism and/or social emotional learning is a plusMust meet legal requirements relative to a criminal background checkGeneral Description: Plans and implements developmentally appropriate lessons and activities and incorporates individualization for all students while ensuring that all plans align with the preschool curriculum and Ohio content standardsImplements effective classroom management procedures that are developmentally appropriate to preschool aged children. Uses the Conscious Discipline and PBIS behavioral supportsCollaborates with other teachers and shares knowledge and resources that enhance the educational process and benefit student learningUses strong communication skills in verbal, written, and nonverbal communicationParticipates in the preschool evaluation process to help identify children who may have special needs and prepares evaluation team reports (ETR)Helps prepare and implement Section 504 and Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for classroom students meeting eligibility requirements.
