This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive, equity-focused environment while making a meaningful impact on students' academic and emotional success. Key Responsibilities: As a School Psychologist Intern, you will: * Deliver individual and group counseling services to students in grades K-12, focusing on enhancing educational outcomes. * Conduct comprehensive evaluations including screenings, assessments, observations, and reporting to support educational planning. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine eligibility for special education services and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). * Support school-based initiatives such as Response to Intervention (RTI), Child Study Teams, and Threat Assessment protocols. * Consult with educators, families, and staff to recommend accommodation and interventions tailored to student needs. * Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Fredericksburg City Public Schools, maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards. * Perform additional duties as assigned to support student well-being and school improvement efforts. Qualifications: * Master's Degree required. * Must be currently enrolled in a graduate-level school psychology program. * Experience working with K-12 students preferred. * Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. * Ability to manage multiple cases and adapt to evolving needs. * Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered practices.
