A full-time school psychologist opportunity is available for the 2026-27 academic year, offering a vital role within a supportive school environment in Catlin, IL. This assignment involves working approximately 35 hours per week, with the position start date targeted around August 18, 2026, and concluding near June 4, 2027. Candidates will potentially serve either a 7th-8th grade junior high or K-4 elementary program, supporting diverse student populations. Key Responsibilities: Conduct special education evaluations in compliance with IDEA and Illinois regulations Implement MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) processes to support student learning and behavior Facilitate and schedule domain meetings, Evaluation/Determination Conferences (EDCs), and Annual Reviews (ARs) Manage manifestation determination reviews and maintain adherence to special education timelines Develop, review, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), Section 504 plans, and related documentation Use assessment tools such as Q-global and FastBridge for student evaluations Document and communicate findings and plans using Google Docs and related systems Desired Qualifications: Strong expertise in IDEA, Illinois special education rules, and assessment regulations Experience with MTSS processes and special education evaluation procedures Skilled in coordinating meetings and collaborating with educational teams Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and documentation related to special education services Proficiency in Q-global, FastBridge, and cloud-based documentation platforms This position is a contract role supporting backfill staffing needs.
