Position Type: Summer Worker/Summer Paraeducator - ElementaryDate Posted: 1/20/2026Location: Multiple Elementary SitesClosing Date: 06/12/2026ELEMENTARY HEALTH PARAEDUCATORS for TARGETED SERVICES - SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM Temporary summer worker Elementary Health Paraeducator - one temporary summer worker Health Paraeducator position is available at each site. 4 positions available DATES & SUMMER HOURS:Wednesday, June 10 set up day - 7.5 hoursMonday - ThursdayJune 15 - 18 and June 22 - 25HOURS: 8:55am - 12:25pm (Exact hours may vary by site based on student needs.)3.5 hours per day (15 minutes prior and 15 minutes after student contact time) plus up to 7.5 hours for setup and training. Assignments will be made by the Lead and based on student needs. Total hours up to 35.5.SITES: Andover Elementary, Oxbow Creek Elementary, Sand Creek Elementary, Wilson ElementarySPECIAL NOTES: Indicate location preference on the Summer Program page of the A-H online application.Duties may include: Reviewing the medical needs of students on the setup day and providing medications to students during summer school. Assist in supporting students who may be in distress, and support fostering and reinforcing positive social, emotional, and behavioral skills.Other duties can include instruction, personal care (feeding, toileting), lifting, physical assists, behavior management, bus supervision, and assisting Summer Building Leaders as needed.Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be physically working in the building. Good communication, interpersonal, and recordkeeping skills. Ability/desire to work with technology and computers. Ability to work cooperatively with students and staff. Ability to supervise students Ability to take direction. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functionsRATE OF PAY: New Hires $23.70/ Hour. Current Health Paras accepting employment in their same category shall be paid at their school year ending hourly rate on the salary schedule through their summer employment, including seniority and academic credits. Paras accepting employment in a different category shall be paid that category's school year ending hourly rate on the salary schedule at the relevant step including seniority and academic credits. Assignments will be made based on students needs.
