Anticipated School Psychologist JobID: 1015 Position Type: Child Study Team/Psychologist Date Posted: 3/9/2026 Location: Rolling Hills Primary School Date Available: 09/01/2026 Additional Information: Show/Hide JOB TITLE: SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST REPORTS TO: Director/Supervisor of Special Services/Principal QUALIFICATIONS: * Valid New Jersey School Psychologist Endorsement * Minimum experience as determined by the Board of Education * Knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education and demonstrated ability to effectively provide testing, psychological evaluation and counseling services as per N.J.A.C 6A14. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Independent use of word processing, E-Mail, Internet and appropriate software applications (Frontline IEP, Genesis, Google Suite, etc.) is highly desirable. * Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status JOB GOAL: To be responsible for conducting psychological assessments for special education students, identified/referred students which may include an evaluation of the students' intellectual functioning and relevant behavior. When appropriate to help develop and implement special education programming for our students. To provide case management services for assigned caseload. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: * Conducts educationally relevant psychological evaluations of children and writes reports with educationally relevant information. * Participates in the identification, evaluation, and program development as appropriate for special education students. * Develop and or oversee an Individualized Education Plan as per New Jersey Administrative Code. * Perform informal risk assessments and serve as a required member of the Crisis Intervention Team to assess threats or suicidal behavior. * Works collaboratively with related services, administration, teachers, school staff, behaviorists, nurses, aides, parents, and students to facilitate the implementation of student learning programs/needs. * Serves as a case manager as assigned and works in collaboration with Child Study Team administrative staff to maintain appropriate case records. * Provides school-based counseling to special education students as needed. * Assists in the development and delivery of in-service programs. * Maintains professional competence through continuing education and other professional growth activities. * Observes pupils in classrooms and other school settings. * Provides resources and consults with parents and school personnel on services in the community. * Performs all duties required as a member of the child study team by administrative code, state and federal laws and board policy. * Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the superintendent or Director of Special Services, Supervisor of Special Services, and building principals. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be determined as mutually agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. SALARY RANGE: $57,330 $107,184 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, and in accordance with VTEA contract salary guide.
