Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Location: Long Beach, CA Job Type: Contract (Travel/Local) Duration: 14 WeeksSchedule:Shift: Day ShiftSchedule: Monday-Friday (5x8)Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per weekPosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical and clinical operations by ensuring all instruments and equipment are properly decontaminated, sterilized, and maintained. This role is essential in maintaining infection control standards and ensuring patient safety in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDecontaminate surgical instruments and equipment using proper PPE and safety protocolsDisassemble, clean, and reassemble complex surgical instrumentsAssemble and package instrument trays and surgical sets according to guidelinesOperate sterilization equipment including autoclaves and washer disinfectorsInspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damageMaintain accurate sterilization records and instrument tracking logsDocument missing or damaged instruments in accordance with SOPsMonitor and maintain inventory levels of instruments and suppliesPerform routine cleaning and maintenance of sterilization equipmentEnsure compliance with infection control standards and ANSI/AAMI guidelinesMaintain clean and organized workstationsCommunicate effectively with internal teams and support staffParticipate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiativesRequired EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentRequired Certifications & LicensureCertified Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or CIS)Required Skills & ExperienceMinimum 1+ year of sterile processing experienceKnowledge of surgical instruments and sterile processing protocolsFamiliarity with ANSI/AAMI standards and manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs)Experience operating sterilization equipment (autoclaves, washer disinfectors)Strong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work efficiently under pressureAbility to follow SOPs and detailed work instructions accuratelyStrong communication and teamwork skillsFor more details reach at jknox@ or Call / Text at 732-791-4827.About Navitas Healthcare, LLC: It is a certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
