Job Description

A well-established community hospital pharmacy is seeking a dedicated full-time Staff Pharmacist to provide exceptional pharmaceutical care to patients of all ages at their newly acquired retail pharmacy location. This opportunity offers a rewarding role with a direct hire option, as well as the possibility of temp-to-perm placement for the right candidate. Responsibilities: Deliver pharmaceutical care for patients ranging from newborns to the elderly, ensuring safety and efficacy. Supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacy technicians and billing clerks, to maintain smooth operations. Monitor patient profiles within the computer system, verifying accuracy in drug allergies, interactions, duplicate therapies, and rational drug usage. Adhere to and endorse retail pharmacy policies and procedures. Oversee quality control, security of controlled substances, and hazardous waste disposal in compliance with regulations. Participate actively in programs such as 340B, antibiotic stewardship, and pharmacy and therapeutics meetings. Engage in ongoing professional development through education, conferences, and professional organizations. Qualifications: Active, clear Colorado pharmacist license with no negative history. Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience; retail pharmacy background preferred. Experience or familiarity with the 340B program is a strong plus. Supervisory experience is preferred. Willingness to relocate or remain in the community. Location & Schedule: Position based in Wray, Colorado. Monday through Friday day shifts, 8 hours per day.
