South Montgomery Community School Corporation (Southmont Schools) Position Announcement: School Psychologist beginning the 26/27 School Year Southmont Schools are seeking a collaborative, student-centered School Psychologist to support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs of students across the district. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering positive student outcomes through data-driven decision-making, consultation, and tiered supports. Position Summary The School Psychologist provides consultation, assessment, intervention planning, and support services to students, families, and school staff. This position plays a key role in special education evaluations, MTSS/RTI systems, behavioral support, and enhancing the overall learning environment. Key Responsibilities * Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for initial, annual, and reevaluation processes in accordance with IDEA and Article 7. * Participate in case conferences and collaborate in the development of IEPs. * Support MTSS/RTI implementation, including progress monitoring and data analysis. * Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student learning, behavior, and social-emotional needs. * Provide recommendations for interventions, accommodations, and behavior supports. * Assist in crisis prevention and response efforts. * Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ethical, professional, and legal standards. * Collaborate with counselors, behavior specialists, and special education staff to support whole-child development. * All other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Master's or Specialist-level degree (Ed.S., M.S., or equivalent) in School Psychology * Valid Indiana School Psychologist license or eligibility by the start date. * Strong understanding of special education law, assessment practices, and intervention strategies. * Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. * Experience in a school setting. * Training in MTSS/RTI, functional behavioral assessment (FBA), and positive behavioral interventions and support (PBIS). * Ability to serve multiple buildings and age levels.
