Pediatrician OpportunityLewis County Health System - Lowville, NYLewis County Health System (LCHS), located in beautiful Lowville, NY, is seeking a highly motivated, Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape and grow a dedicated pediatric practice, as you transition into the role of a retiring Family Practice physician with a well-established patient base.We are looking for a compassionate and visionary leader with strong customer service values and a commitment to high-quality pediatric care. The successful candidate will play a key role in continuing and expanding pediatric services in our rural community and will support inpatient and newborn services at our Critical Access Hospital.Position Highlights: Outpatient pediatric practice with opportunity to help establish a new Pediatric office Inpatient coverage for a low-volume general pediatrics service Support the newborn nursery and maternity program Collaborate with a strong team of experienced providers Average call schedule of 10 days/month, shared among 3 providers Level 1 newborn nursery with Inpatient pediatric volume: Qualifications: Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics Current PALS, NRP, and BLS certifications required Strong leadership skills and a commitment to community-based care Willingness to help build and grow a rural pediatric programCompensation & Benefits: $340,000 base salary for full-time outpatient and inpatient call coverage $25,000 sign-on bonus, paid in first paycheck Productivity-based RVU bonus (above 50% MGMA), paid quarterly 6 weeks of paid time off Robust benefits package including: Premium health and dental insurance CME allowance Occurrence malpractice insurance (no tail required) Disability insurance Choice of 401(k) retirement plan or NY State pension Loan repayment support through HHS, DANY, NHSC, and PSLF programs (Physician Shortage Area)Why Lowville?Nestled in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, Lowville offers the best of both worlds: peaceful rural living with access to year-round outdoor activities and proximity to the cultural amenities of Syracuse, Rochester, Albany, and Utica.
