We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.Minimum Requirements:Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing.Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.NRP certification required.BLS certification required.Minimum 2 years of experience working in a Level 4 NICU as an RRT.Demonstrated experience with high-frequency jet ventilation (HFJV).Experience with neonatal ventilators and equipment including HFOV, conventional ventilators, nitric oxide delivery, BCPAP, HHFNC, LTV, and transport ventilators.Experience documenting in EPIC or comparable electronic medical record systems preferred.Ability to work in a high-acuity neonatal environment with premature infants and maintain appropriate patient ratios (unit typically 6-8:1).Preferred: additional neonatal specialty training or certifications relevant to NICU practice.Assignment DetailsFacility type: Hospital.Unit: Level 4 NICU (142 beds).Shift: Days.Shift hours: 06:45-19:15.Schedule pattern: 3x12 shifts, 36 guaranteed hours per week.Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.Call requirements: N/A.EMR: EPIC.Location Highlights Orlando provides a mix of urban amenities and outdoor recreation within easy drives.
