The ideal candidate will be committed to academic excellence and student growth, bring creativity to their instruction, and foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment. The role of the math interventionist is to support teachers and students in implementing effective instructional practices aligned with New Jersey standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics education, instructional coaching, and a passion for supporting educators in their professional growth.Key ResponsibilitiesStrong organizational skillsUnderstanding of curriculum development, differentiation of instruction, use of formative and summative assessment data to drive instruction and effective use of technology in a blended classroomDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively electronically, orally, and in writingAbility to work effectively with adult learners modeling excellent interpersonal skills for working with teachers, administration, and staffAbility to provide professional development to groups of teachers and administratorsComputer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, publishing, effective use of learning management systems and Google applicationsReliability, responsibility, independence, self-motivation, ability to maintain one's own schedule and calendarRelationships/Trust Build, reflect on, and strengthen coaching relationships.Build trust with teachers and administrators and maintain confidentiality.Demonstrate empathy and compassion.Develop partnerships with teachers, stuednts, parents, and community members to impact student learning at a greater level in all tiers of instruction.
