The Radiology Technologist Assistant performs duties related to expediting patients throughout the department and hospital as needed. Duties include patient preparation, order & schedule verification/clarification, scheduling, ordering and stocking of supplies, obtaining images from other facilities and data input into the hospital and/or PACS operating system. This position requires driving the mobile mammo unit and registering patients as needed. Minimum Qualifications Required Educational Degree: High School Diploma or GED Major/Area of Concentration: Preferred Education: Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: Valid Ohio State Driving License, RV Driving Camp Certifications - (Facilitated by Adena upon hire) De-escalation training within 6 months. Preferred Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: Required Experience: Preferred Experience: 6 months customer service Job Specific Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Job Specific Essential Functions • Drive mobile mammo unit to and from imaging destinations • Daily monitoring and pre-trip maintenance checks of the mobile mammography unit to include troubleshooting maintenance issues and ensuring vehicle is always adequately fueled and stocked • Facilitate preventative maintenance activities for mobile mammography unity with manager • Set up unit at the location, secure power and data source and monitor vehicle temperature for optimal operations • Prepare patient for imaging procedure by assisting with appropriate dress for procedure, obtaining/documenting accurate patient history and assists technologists as needed with patient care • Perform patient intake/reception and registration duties • Operate wheelchair lift on mobile unit • Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously, handles calls if able and/or redirect appropriately for patient assistance/caregiver needs • Monitor par levels, orders on-board supplied and assists with interior cleaning and stocking • Facilitates obtaining outside images as needed and assists with study verification to facilitate radiologist dictation • Assist with procedure room set up and tear down • Sorts and sends out mammo result and reminder letters Why Caregivers Stay? * Reliable compensation * Strong healthcare coverage options * 3.5% retirement match with automatic annual increase * PTO that grows with tenure * Visible leadership impact within a regional health system Ready to Explore?
