JOIN OUR TEAM AS A HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (HIM) DIRECTORSSBH is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Health Information Management (HIM) Director to lead our organization's medical records, data integrity, and compliance functions. This leader will oversee all aspects of health information governance, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, privacy, and regulatory compliance across the organization.If you are passionate about data integrity, operational excellence, and supporting high-quality patient care, this is a role where you can make a meaningful impact. Provide strategic leadership and direction for the HIM department, including coding, release of information, documentation integrity, and record management. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including HIPAA, CMS, and Joint Commission standards. Lead initiatives related to EHR optimization, data governance, and information workflow improvements. Manage HIM staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development. Develop and maintain HIM policies, procedures, and best practices. Monitor and report key performance indicators related to coding, documentation, and record integrity. Ensure timely completion, storage, and retrieval of medical records.Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:Education: Bachelor's Degree in information management/medical records preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience: A minimum of five (5) years leadership experience in information management is required, with direct experience in a health care psychiatric facility preferred.
