Develops and enhances relationships with physicians, referral sources, and customers.Maintains current knowledge of standard practice for each discipline.Oversees caregivers to ensure documentation and billing for each patient is done in a complete, thorough, appropriate, and timely manner, according to regulatory, and department, requirements. Ensures provision of appropriate services and appropriate documentation from team members.Promotes appropriate and consistent interaction and communication among team members and other professionals.Ensures that equipment is reliable and in good working condition. Arranges for timely repair, engineering safety inspections, and calibration per manufacturer recommendations.SkillsLeadershipVerbal and Written CommunicationAbility to establish and maintain relationshipsAbility to interpret and present dataStrategic PlanningStandardizationCompliancePolicy and ProceduresQualificationsDegree and education in Rehabilitation profession consistent with licensure requirements (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Audiology, Athletic Trainer, and Exercise Physiology).Current and applicable rehabilitation license to practice in the state where you reside.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.Three years of previous experience as a practicing rehabilitation professional.Preferred QualificationsLeadership Experience: 3-5 years of previous leadership experience in rehabilitation settings.Education & Licensure: Degree in Rehabilitation with appropriate licensure in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy.Physical RequirementsOngoing need to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use.When doing patient care, lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
