Hold valid New Jersey Supervisor Certificate 2. Hold valid Behavior Analyst certification 3. Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped Certification preferred 4. Completed BACB 8-hour Supervision training 5. Supervisory experience with RBTs and/or behavior support staff 6. Expertise in ABA programming, assessment, and interventions 7. Knowledge of special education laws and regulations 8. Demonstrates effective problem-solving, communications, organization, planning, record-keeping, and human relations skills 9. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptablePERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:1. School and Community Relations a. Consult and collaborate with administration, teaching staff, related services, and support staff. b. Regularly schedule consultations with classroom staff. c. Develop supportive and collaborative working relationships with parents/guardians. d. Provide supervision to RBTs e. Ensures implementation of research-based instructional materials and strategies, assessments, and behavioral interventions. f. Evaluates data to confirm that it is collected efficiently and regularly to allow for continued reporting of progress and analysis of effective programming. g. Participate in IEP meetings to review behavioral support/intervention plans. h. Meets regularly with administration and keeps them abreast of any issues hindering student progress. i. Assists in leading monthly clinical staffing meetings with administration and staff. j. Evaluates certificated and non-certified staff members in accordance with Teach NJ and district policy k. Maintains consultation notes and shares recommendations with staff in a timely fashion.2. Education and community professional development/training a. Plan and provide ongoing staff professional development aligned to research-based programming and school/district goals. b. Maintain knowledge base of current applied behavior analysis best practices c. Disseminate relevant information with staff and community members on best practices in applied behavior analysis d. Conducts parent/guardian trainings and consultation3. Behavior Analytic Services a. Provide instructional leadership in guiding/directing behavior analytic services in a public school setting b. Develops and trains others to implement applied behavior analytic programming and research-based instructional practices for students with autism c. Conducts functional behavior assessment and develops behavior intervention plans d. Evaluates and documents efficacy of behavior intervention plans e. Perform such other duties and assume such other tasks as may be assigned by the PrincipalTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full Time, Twelve Months; salary and benefits as per Collective Bargaining AgreementEVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the BJC's board's policy on evaluation of professional personnel.
