This opportunity calls for a licensed pharmacist to manage medication dispensing and patient care in a fast-paced pharmacy setting. The role involves ensuring compliance with legal standards, monitoring patient medication usage, and providing expert consultation on prescription and non-prescription drugs. Key Responsibilities: Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications. Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential over-usage. Ensure proper medicine supply management in line with legal requirements. Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files with precision. Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and interactions. Offer additional health services such as smoking cessation support and blood pressure monitoring. Educate patients on the correct use of medical devices including glucose meters. Compound medications as required, preparing sterile solutions according to protocol. Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks. Manage inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies effectively. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and resolve drug-related issues. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid California pharmacist license in hand. Retail pharmacy experience is welcomed; training is available for those new to retail. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams. Ability to supervise and mentor pharmacy support staff. Location: Position is based in El Cajon, CA.
