Job Description

Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The technologist will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate radiation detection and imaging equipment, perform cardiac nuclear studies, and follow regulatory and department policies for safe handling and disposal of radioactive materials.Minimum RequirementsAn associate or bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology.Current ARRT (R) certification required.Current CNMT certification required.Current state license or authorization to practice nuclear medicine in New Jersey.IV certification required.BLS certification required.Experience performing cardiac nuclear studies including stress MUGA, Thallium, and non-gated Technetium studies.Experience with radiopharmaceutical preparation, dose administration, and radiation safety procedures consistent with NRC, SMG, and EPA guidelines.Experience with equipment QA, calibration, flood analysis, and basic troubleshooting of imaging systems.Minimum 2 years' experience as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred.Assignment DetailsFacility type: Hospital.Shift name: Days.Duration: 12 week travel assignment.Department: Cardiology (position includes performing and managing cardiac nuclear studies).Clinical responsibilities: prepares and injects radiopharmaceuticals, programs acquisition computer for procedures, acquires gated and non-gated cardiac images, documents test indications and allergies, performs QA and safety surveys, and assists physicians as needed.Regulatory duties: orders and logs receipt of radioactive materials, disposes of radioisotopes according to regulations, follows spill and decontamination procedures, and reports contamination when required.Floating: Candidate may be expected to support cardiac nuclear services across multiple hospital sites within the health system.Location HighlightsBerkeley Heights, NJ offers convenient access to regional parks, cultural venues, and metropolitan transit.
