American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer for an OB/GYN setting, requiring ARDMS certification and experience in high-risk obstetrical sonography.Job Details• Maternal Fetal Medicine department within a hospital OB/GYN setting,• Focuses on high-risk OB/GYN patients, including complex obstetrical cases,• Performs both transvaginal and transabdominal ultrasound examinations,• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, day shift only,• 5x8-hour shifts per week with no weekend or call requirements,• EMR: Epic,Job Requirements• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in OB/GYN or Maternal Fetal Medicine sonography,• ARDMS certification required, with Maternal Fetal Medicine specialty credential required,• BLS certification required (AHA only); no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of assignment,• Associate's degree in sonography from an accredited program required; Bachelor's degree preferred,• Experience with both transvaginal and transabdominal ultrasound techniques required,• Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology as it relates to ultrasound diagnosis,• Proficiency operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment within the full scope of sonography practice,• License required if applicable,• Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible,Additional Information• Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations with a focus on high-risk OB/GYN conditions and complex obstetrical diagnoses,• Evaluate patients' ability to tolerate procedures and communicate diagnostic findings with the care team,• Provide ultrasound guidance for procedures and assist with appropriate documentation and billing practices,• Document diagnostic and patient data accurately within Epic,• Must be able to work independently given the specialized nature of MFM imaging,• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,• A US SSN is required for consideration
