American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for an Imaging Services department, serving a mixed pediatric and adult patient population across two facilities, with 1-2 years of acute care experience required.Job Details• Acute care hospital imaging department serving inpatient, outpatient, ED, trauma, OR, and NICU patient areas,• Services provided across two facilities, including a pediatric hospital, requiring rotation between locations,• Patient population spans neonates through geriatrics, including pediatric and adult inpatients and outpatients,• Equipment includes 3 fluoroscopy rooms, 4 plain film rooms, 7 portables, 7 C-arms, and 1 O-ARM,• Average volume of approximately 190 x-ray studies per 24-hour period,• 1:1 patient ratio,• EMR: Epic (Radiant module) required; McKesson PACS strongly preferred,• Digital Siemens x-ray and Shimadzu portable x-ray strongly preferred; OEC C-arms required,• 10-hour evening shifts, 7 on / 7 off, Thursday through Wednesday, 10:30 AM - 9:00 PM, 70 hours bi-weekly,• Weekend rotation based on department needs,• 24 hours of on-call per month on weekends, with a 30-minute on-site response time requirement,• Floats within all imaging department areas and to the affiliated pediatric facility,Job Requirements• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an acute care setting,• Current BLS certification required,• ARRT or RCIS certification required,• WA Rad Tech license required if applicable,• Proficiency in general x-ray (plain film, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, spine), fluoroscopy, portable imaging, and OR/trauma imaging,• Experience and comfort working with neonates, pediatric, ICU, and geriatric patients,• Hands-on experience with C-arms required,• Epic EMR experience required,• Must be able to work independently,• Must be able to transport ED patients to and from the x-ray department,• Two references required prior to start; at least one must be submitted for consideration (must be from a supervisor or above, such as Charge Nurse, Manager, or Director),Additional Information• Performs general x-ray, fluoroscopy (inpatient and outpatient), portable imaging, OR cross-table imaging (spine, cervical, ortho), and trauma imaging across all body parts,• Orientation consists of 4-5 days covering fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and float/inpatient portable roles, with 8-10 hour training shifts based on daily department needs,• RT, hospitalist, and intensivist support available 24/7,• Holiday coverage is expected when the holiday falls on a regularly assigned workday,• Personal scrubs in any color are acceptable; camouflage, denim, and hoodies are not permitted; hospital-provided scrubs are required in the OR,• Closed-toe shoes required,• Free parking available in designated areas,• First-time travelers are welcome to apply with acute care setting experience,• Sleep room available for on-call shifts (advance reservation recommended)
