A Pharmacy professional is needed to fill a Staff Pharmacist role on the 2nd shift (12:30pm - 9pm), Monday through Friday, with possible Saturdays as needed. This opportunity is a Temp-To-Hire position based in Fishers, IN, with a closed-door mail order environment. The initial assignment is for 13 weeks or longer, with the potential for direct hire. Key Responsibilities: Accurately dispense medications based on prescription orders. Provide detailed medication counseling regarding use, side effects, and interactions. Review physician orders to verify correctness and therapeutic appropriateness. Monitor patient drug therapies for contraindications and duplications. Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes and adherence. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including medication history and allergy information. Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations at federal, state, and local levels. Manage medication storage and disposal, monitoring for expired or damaged drugs. Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts. Support inventory control including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies. Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and promoting pharmacy offerings. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on pharmacy practice. Qualifications: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required. 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience. Active Indiana Pharmacy License. California license preferred or willingness to reciprocate (assistance with reciprocity costs available). Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
