The Therapist is responsible for providing emotional support by conducting interviews, listening objectively during counseling sessions and evaluating patients' mental condition to formulate a treatment plan. The Therapist will keep detailed records on each patient and monitor progress.Job SummaryProvides individual, group and family therapy services to a variety of populations.Maintains up to date knowledge of therapeutic approaches and is able to utilize various modalities to accommodate patient needs.Maintains an active schedule and awareness of number of patient cancellations, no shows etc.Develops action plan to address patient cancellations and no shows when rate varies from identified standard.Maintains an awareness of general activity in the department and offers to assist when appropriate.Demonstrates flexibility with schedule in order to accommodate emergency situations.Completes documentation within established timelines including closure of cases and charging procedures.Maintains awareness of regional EAP services procedures.Formulates client's treatment plans, including the establishment of treatment goals and objectives.Monitors and documents client's progress in achieving goals and objectives.Assists with the development of new programs; offers suggestions regarding program needs.Participates in departmental efforts to improve patient satisfaction.Understands services offered throughout the outpatient department and assists when needed.Responsible for understanding and documenting diagnostic information as required.Identifies and seeks supervision for cases as needed.Alerts supervisor to any patient or company issues that require additional intervention.Education QualificationsMaster's degree in social work (MSW) or related field RequiredExperience QualificationsExperience working with psychiatric patients in an outpatient setting PreferredLicenses and CertificationsLicensed Mental Health Provider orLicensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) orLicensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) orLicensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Required Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
