The Pharmacy Purchasing Agent is responsible for maintaining appropriate pharmaceutical inventory levels and ensuring compliance with departmental and organizational standards. This role collaborates with stakeholders to develop and implement inventory control procedures and resolves procurement-related issues. The agent maintains professional relationships with pharmacy vendors, serving as a liaison to meet the health system's needs. All duties must be performed in alignment with Tampa General Hospital's mission, vision, and values. * Associate's degree in business administration or related field. * Two (2) years of experience in health care material control function. * Registered Pharmacy Technician with relevant Purchasing and Supply Chain experience may be considered in lieu of Associate's degree and two (2) years of experience. * Relevant purchasing and Supply Chain experience includes familiarity with purchasing and supply standardized methods and inventory control systems and ability to use word processors, databases and spreadsheets.
