A unique opportunity is available for a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) in a closed-door pharmacy embedded within a behavioral health hospital setting. This pharmacy specializes exclusively in behavioral health medications and operates with a focus on efficiency and high-volume prescription fulfillment. The position is contract-to-hire and requires local candidates who can start immediately. Location: Burkburnett, TX (with pharmacy based in Wichita Falls, TX) Type: Contract to Hire Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Responsibilities: Oversee daily pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist-in-Charge in a closed-door pharmacy Manage dispensing of behavioral health medications, supporting a prescription volume of 350-400 scripts per day Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy standards Collaborate with hospital and clinic staff to maintain seamless medication support without administering vaccines Lead and mentor pharmacy staff, including one staff pharmacist and four pharmacy technicians Utilize Enterprise RX software to maintain accurate records and support efficient workflows Qualifications: Valid Texas Pharmacist License (required) Minimum of 1 year Pharmacist-in-Charge or pharmacy management experience (required) At least 2 years of pharmacist experience; retail experience acceptable Ability to work in a specialized behavioral health medication setting This role is urgent due to the current PIC transitioning out by early March, creating an immediate need for a qualified professional to ensure continuity of care and pharmacy operations.
