Job DescriptionPosition Title: Senior Health and Safety ManagerYour role The Health and Safety Manager works with the team to drive a positive Health & Safety culture within the company and does everything to prevent the occurrence of incidents. By working with the team to support the implementation of Health & Safety Rules & Regulations for internal- and external stakeholders which are known and applied he ensures the highest level of safety. What you'll doHelp to deploy and manage the Health and Safety management framework within the local country organization following the corporate Health and Safety Strategic framework and guidelines.Support and engage other DLR regions such as EMEA and APAC so aid consistency of approachEnsure Health and Safety support is provided for the identification, analysis, assessment and management of theHealth and Safety risks that are specifically applicable to operations and the interfaces with construction.Help with the preparation of improvement programs related to Health and Safety.Ensure Health and Safety support for the development of key performance indicators to monitor activity progress.Provide support for Investigations and accidents or incidents to discover root causes.Provide technical support/ guidance as necessary to accident/ incident investigation teams.Prepare audits and reports related to Health and Safety in conjunction with HQ requirements.Responsible for maintaining the relevant certifications at the request of the teamSupport with gathering evidence, manage and monitor internal and external root cause investigations, working with the Health and safety teamEngage with the DLR supply chain and General Contractors to coach, challenge and support performance improvementAssist in the implementation of the safe systems of work that will be rolled out to all countries.Ensure emergency response arrangements and procedures are maintained and in place.What you'll need Diploma/Degree in health and safety or equivalentProven experience in health and safety managementDeep understanding of legal health and safety guidelinesAbility in producing reportsGood knowledge of data analysis and risk assessmentExcellent organizational and motivational skillsOutstanding attention to detail and observation abilityExceptional communication and interpersonal abilitiesValid qualification in occupational health and safetyPrevious experience in a similar role/environment is essential.Previous multi-site experience is ideal.Fluent in English, both in writing and orallyBe working towards Chartered membership or local equivalentA bit about usDigital Realty brings companies and data together by delivering the full spectrum of data center, colocation and interconnection solutions.
