About the job RN Director of Surgical Services AlediumHR is representing a well-established healthcare organization seeking a Director of Surgical Services (RN) to lead a critical, high-impact department. This role is based in Missoula, MT.This is a leadership role for someone who knows surgical operations, understands the demands of perioperative services, and can drive both clinical and operational performance. You'll have full responsibility for the department-staff, budgets, quality, and outcomes.If you've been leading at the Manager or Director level and are ready for broader ownership, this is a step up worth considering.What You'll LeadOverall direction of Surgical Services, including clinical and operational performanceDepartment staffing, development, and accountabilityBudget planning, financial oversight, and resource allocationQuality, safety, and regulatory complianceProcess improvement and operational efficiency initiativesWhat You'll DoSet and execute departmental goals aligned with organizational prioritiesOversee daily operations, ensuring patient care delivery meets quality and safety standardsLead hiring, training, performance management, and staff developmentManage budgets and ensure departments operate within financial targetsCoordinate internal and external auditsServe as the point of accountability for service performance and patient outcomesBuild a culture that supports teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvementWhat You BringActive (or eligible) Montana RN licenseBachelor's degree in Nursing (required)5+ years of experience in Surgical Services with leadership at the Manager or Director levelStrong understanding of perioperative operations and patient care workflowsProven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive resultsPreferredAdvanced degree (MSN, MHA, or MBA)BLS upon hire; ACLS and PALS within 6 monthsWhy This RoleThis isn't a maintenance role.
