Login to Apply Campus Behavior Coordinator JOB STATUS: OPEN POSTING DATE: 02/26/2026 POSTING NUMBER: 00007609 POSITION TITLE: Campus Behavior Coordinator JOB DESCRIPTION: Primary Purpose: The Campus Behavior Coordinator will operate in accordance with the Texas Education Code Sec. 37.0012 designation of a Campus Behavior Coordinator (CBC) to address school discipline. The CBC will assist the principal with the direction and management and the operation of the campus, acquiring those skills and experiences necessary to assume the responsibilities of building principal. The Campus Behavior Coordinator must act with integrity, support organizational goals, demonstrate the ability to inspire, grow and motivate others, utilize feedback, drive for results and commit to championing the needs of the students, employees, and overall district. RESPONSIBILITIES: Major Responsibilities and Duties * Development and implementation of campus PBIS and discipline management plan. * Assist in the development, implementation, and supervision of a student discipline management system. * Supervision of campus attendance procedures and policies. * Coordinate campus support operations. * Encourage and support the development of innovative behavioral programs. * Develop and facilitate campus professional development. School/Organizational Climate * Provide instructional resources and materials to support teaching staff in accomplishing campus culture and safety goals. * Help to develop a student discipline management system that results in positive student behavior. * Provide for effective communication with principal, staff, students, parents and community. * Facilitate effective and timely conflict resolution. * Create and regularly communicate campus discipline data. Administration and Fiscal/Facilities Management * Supervise procurement, distribution and inventory of all state adopted materials. * Comply with district policies as well as state and federal laws regarding schools. * Assist in the management of use of school facilities to ensure a clean, orderly, safe environment, including cooperation with governmental entities as appropriate. * Comply with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rule, and board policy. School/Organizational Improvement * Cooperate with the principal in identifying, analyzing and applying research data to facilitate school improvement. * Maintain and use appropriate information systems and records necessary for attainment of campus performance objectives * Participate in development and evaluation of campus behavior plan and Campus Improvement Plan. * Promote a positive, caring climate for learning. * Assist with safety inspections and safety-drill practice activities. School/Community Relations * Support the articulation of the school's mission to the community and solicit the community's support in realizing the mission. * Demonstrate awareness of school/community needs and initiate activities to meet those identified needs. * Attendance at work is an essential function. * Assist in the interviewing, selecting and orientating of new staff. Personnel Management/Student Management * Work with principal, faculty, and students to develop a discipline management system which results in positive student behavior and school climate. * Ensure that school rules are uniformly observed with appropriate student discipline. * Establish parent involvement as an integral part of the school discipline management plan. * Ensure that school rules are uniformly observed, and that student discipline is appropriate and equitable. * Management and operations of campus restorative services and Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS). Professional Growth and Development * Provide leadership and actively pursue professional development activities; provide information to staff members. * Observe professional ethical standards in accordance with generally accepted community standards and the Texas Education Agency Code of Ethics. * Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor. EXPERIENCE: Minimum Experience: * Three years of classroom teaching experience QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Education/Certification: * Bachelor's degree in related field * Valid Texas teacher certificate or teaching certificate from out of state appropriate for position Special Knowledge/Skills: * Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction * Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness * Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills * Basic knowledge of student management system platforms OTHER INFORMATION: Working Conditions Mental/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Ability to concentrate (detailed work), communicate effectively (verbal and written); interpret policy, procedures and data; reason, understand verbal instructions, analyze, differentiate, read, coordinate district functions, compile, compute, instruct, maintain emotional control under stress.
