SportsMED Orthopedic is seeking an experienced X-Ray Tech to join our Madison, AL clinic. The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years of clinical x-ray experience.X-Ray Tech Duties/Responsibilities: Operate and maintain x-ray machinesDetermine individual technique for ordered examination and position patient properlyPerform procedure by verbally confirming with the patient before beginning a procedureProperly shield patients for all examinationsProduce quality x-rays with correct Patient ID and markingsEscort patients from lobby to treatment rooms, x-ray waiting, brace shop, etc.Assists providers' healthcare team in clinic as neededMaintains wheelchairs, including proper maintenance and sanitizationRequired Skills/Abilities:Ability to project a professional image at all timesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong computer skillsDetail oriented with above average organizational skillsEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredCurrent/active radiology tech license requiredKnowledge of radiologic standards, requirements and regulationsThorough knowledge of orthopedic terminology and anatomyPhysical Requirements:Frequent standing, walking, grasping, carrying, reaching, bending, and stoopingLifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds or greaterExposure to radiation which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and monitored by radiation badges*The job duties listed in this job description may not be inclusive of all requirements of this position.
