Job SummaryThe Radio Lab Tech works as part of an assigned hangar team which is comprised of AMTs, ATs, Interiors and Quality Inspectors in support of aircraft maintenance projects. The Radio Lab Tech performs inspections and maintenance on all AC radios and batteries.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesAccomplishes all work while following company and industry safety standards while maintaining the highest level of quality.Adheres to all FAA Regulations, the Repair Station Quality Control Manual (RSQCM), and all other approved data.Maintain AC Batteries to include inspections, discharge, servicing and rechargingPerform inspections of main AC batteries, ELT, flashlights, etc.Reprogram ELT's using computer-based softwareMaintain current AC databasesPerforming soldering applicationsPerform basic wiring terminations and bundle repairsAble to work with avionics testing equipmentWork with Quality Assurance for proper documentationWork with AC technicians for HF and VHF radio communication checksProgramming AC laptops with AC related softwareUnderstand the principles of AC/DC functionality.Able to read and interpret wiring schematics and blueprints.Assist other disciplines with troubleshooting as required.Contributes to a positive work environment while maintaining the utmost level of professionalism at all times.Able and willing to mentor others.Ensures all documents are signed off completely, properly and in a timely manner in accordance with the RSQCM.Maintains the utmost level of professionalism at all times.Works assigned shift and unscheduled overtime as-needed or requested.Ability to travel and perform AOG maintenance.Occasionally communicates directly with customers and vendors.Maintains a clean and organized work area at all times.Adheres to company dress standards.Perform all other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and company.QualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalent with additional courses in aircraft maintenance in recognized service or technical school programs.3+ years Falcon avionics experience preferred.Falcon approved training completed on minimum of 2 Falcon models.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Advanced skill with Corridor, Field 6, Honeywell and Collins Aerospace manuals.Must have required tools (see approved minimum tool list).Working ConditionsWorks in a climate controlled hangars. (Heated and Cooled)Occasionally works outside on tarmac in atmospheric weather conditions.Physical RequirementsAbility to wear and utilize personal protective equipmentMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistanceMust be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds with assistanceComfortable in tightly enclosed areas, heights involving lifts and ladders, as well as, flying.Requires the ability to perform all physical functions of the job (hear, stand, kneel, walk, etc.) Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
