Summer Custodian SUMMARY Under the general supervision of the Head of Maintenance the Summer Custodians are responsible for maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the school. This is a temporary position running May 26, 2026 - August 15, 2026. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS This position reports to the Head of Maintenance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Cleans rooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, offices, stairways and other areas of building according to school district standards. * Performs tasks to maintain buildings and grounds in safe and operable condition, such as making minor repairs to property as requested, clearing snow and ice, and related tasks. * Sweeps, Scrubs, Mops and waxes Floors. * Vacuums and shampoos carpets as required. * Cleans Restrooms. * Washes Windows and Glass Doors. * Empty and clean Trash receptacles. * Pick up litter in and around buildings. * Minor Repairs. * Replenishing supplies. * Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE * High School Diploma or Equivalent PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
