A contract opportunity is available for a part-time therapist specializing in therapeutic recreation services within a school setting in Glendale, CA. This role provides support to a small caseload of students across multiple school sites, offering individual therapeutic sessions tailored to each student's needs. The assignment runs from March 9, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with no extended school year (ESY) commitment. Work hours are approximately 5 to 10 hours per week, allowing for flexibility. Key Qualifications: Current certification in one of the following: • California Board of Recreation and Park Certification • National Council for Therapeutic Recreation certification • National Recreation and Park Association certification authorizing services in recreation or therapeutic recreation Experience conducting assessments and providing therapy in educational settings Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings Responsibilities: Deliver direct therapy sessions based on individualized student needs: • UO: 45-minute weekly session • LR: 30-minute weekly session • GV: 30-minute weekly session • MC: 85-minute weekly session Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and update treatment plans as necessary Attend and contribute to annual IEP meetings to ensure alignment of therapeutic goals with educational objectives Coordinate services across different school sites and maintain detailed documentation This position offers a meaningful opportunity to impact students' educational and therapeutic outcomes in a collaborative school environment.
