Required QualificationsBachelor'sHealth/Physical Education, Sports Medicine/Kinesiology, Athletic Training (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)Post Graduate Athletic Training Experience Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:Certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Board of Certification and/or American Physical Therapy AssociationPrior to hire: Licensed by the state of Oklahoma as an athletic trainer Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:Extensive knowledge in OSHA guidelines and universal precautions.Excellent communication skills.Knowledge of NCAA Rules and guidelines.Knowledge and understanding of guidelines in the NCAA Sports Medicine Handbook.Extensive knowledge of OSHA guidelines and universal precautions.Must be able to lift in excess of 100 lbs.Extensive amount of time standing per day.Must be able to deal with heat and changing weather precautions.Knowledge of NCAA Rules and Regulations.Experience and knowledge of organizing strength programs, especially for injured student athletes. Preferred QualificationsMaster'sHealth/Physical Education, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy Experience working with Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapist Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:Additional: Preferred Certification by NASM as PES, or by NSCA as CSCS.
