If you want to use your skills to build a healthier, more resilient community, we encourage you to apply.This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Tri-County Community Mental Health Center, 207 Perry Wiley Way, Chesterfield, SC 29709.As the Mental Health Professional I, working under direct supervision, you will provide mental health services to patients, primarily adults, within a community mental health program. Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional I:Provide outpatient mental health services to TCCMHC patients, primarily adults, using diverse treatment interventions and methods, such as, individual, family, and group therapies, assessments, crisis interventions, and case management. Meet agency patient care hours standards.Ensure all assigned caseloads and clinical records are in accordance with SCDMH Quality Assurance (QA) standards. Adhere to Corporate Compliance policies and procedures. Act in a culturally competent manner. Comply with the South Carolina Department of Mental Health Compliance Plan and all legal responsibilities and requirements in performing their job duties.Utilize collaborative documentation to facilitate effective and efficient provision of therapeutic services.Attend and participate in clinical treatment team staffing as scheduled. Attend total staffing, total clinical training, and CAF meetings. Participate in assigned intra-agency committees.Promote Center programs and services through outreach, education, and participate in Center-sponsored and community events.For MHP Student Loan Repayment:This position MAY be eligible for SCOMH Student Loan Repayment to cover some of the cost of your outstanding loan(s) balance associated with the completion of a healthcare degree that is relevant to the appliable position.Minimum and Additional Requirements Minimum Requirements:A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in a human services or social services program. Additional Requirements:A valid Driver's License.Sitting or standing for long periods of time. Lifting requirement of 20 lbs.May include routine local travel between three counties served. Occasional in-state travel. Minimum overnight travel. Position is considered essential and may be called back during crises/disasters/emergencies. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
