It is a 12 hour days Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. They will have initial training and then yes, they have to work independently. The lab doesn't courier, if this is necessary then the ER Admissions transports the sample. By the end of the month, all QC will be complete, and we will not courier samples. Cerner is EMR, any color scrubs. The lab is open every day 7a-7p, the tech on duty typically takes call starting at 7p the night before their 3 -12hr shifts and the 2 nights following, they do not take call the last 12-hour shift. So, 3 nights call and 3 12-hr shifts. Venipuncture skill. Operation and Troubleshooting of Chemistry Analyzers. Operation and Troubleshooting UA Analyzer. Operation and Troubleshooting Hematology Analyzer. Operation and Troubleshooting Coag Analyzer. Blood Bank Testing (type, RH, Antibody Screening, compatibility testing, QC).. Misc. Testing (serological/micro testing, microscopic, etc.). The lab manager is available by phone and comes in on Thursday, Friday &/or Saturday as needed. Anywhere from 1-5 days before facility reviews packet and interviews. Local travelers accepted at the same rate. Must have strong MT/MLS experience and strong travel experience. AM: Jenn Hesse
