The ability to travel between settings is essential.Job Summary This is a new and innovative role supporting a first of its kind model for the Finger Lakes region. Our In Community SUD Clinic removes traditional barriers by bringing substance use services directly into trusted community spaces where people already feel safe and supported. This can include, but will not be limited to, shelters, housing programs and FQHC's. The Substance Use Disorder Counselor in this role will provide high quality clinical services on site in these community settings while remaining an active and connected member of our robust outpatient clinic and multidisciplinary team. You will conduct assessments, provide counseling and facilitate immediate access to care when someone expresses readiness. You will work closely with Peer Advocates who offer hope through lived experience and with medical and clinical colleagues who support health screenings, medications for substance use disorder and harm reduction resources.
