Our client, a pharmaceutical company, is looking for a Histotechnician to join their team! This will be a onsite role working out of their office in Ridgefield, Connecticut. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree, with 2 years of experience in FFPE tissue sectioning, embedding tissues and processing tissues. Role Overview: Contract Role: Approx. 12 months Pay: $48.57/hr on W2 Responsibilities: Manages the full histological workflow, from initial fixation, processing, and embedding to precise microtomy sectioning and advanced staining techniques (Routine, Special Stains, IHC/IF). Utilizes whole slide scanning for digital pathology while maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring rigorous quality control and documentation standards are met. Acts as a technical partner to pathologists and research scientists, providing the high-quality data and slides necessary to support diagnostic and investigative projects. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology (or a related field) and current ASCP certification as an HT or HTL (or immediate eligibility to obtain it). Proven proficiency in the complete histology workflow, specifically microtomy, FFPE tissue sectioning, processing, embedding, and various staining techniques. Strong organizational and manual dexterity skills to maintain safety protocols and high-quality standards within a fast-paced, high-volume laboratory environment.
