QUALIFICATIONS: • Master's Degree in School Psychology• Special Services Provider License through CDE• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and administration both written and verbally• Ability to assess, consult and counsel in individual and group settings in the school environment• Strong organizational skills• Ability to work effectively with a variety of teams and as a strong team member• First Aid and CPR certificate or ability to obtain one RESPONSIBILITIES :• Provide consultation, counseling, communication and reporting services to the students and schools.• Provide mental health services to the students, faculty and administration as needed.• Provide social emotional services to students on IEPs.• Conduct assessments as part of special education evaluations.• Participate in crisis intervention (threat/suicide assessments, safety plans, crisis intervention teams, building safety concerns) and as necessary, provide resources to students and parents.• Provide consultation to MTSS teams and 504 teams.• Provide consultation services including support, problem solving, resources and implementation ideas to special education staff, general education staff, support staff and administrative staff for students with disabilities and/or parents of "at risk" students.• Assist parents in accessing school and community resources; encourage and instruct families in self-advocacy skill development.• Serve as home, school, and community agency liaison as needed.• Set up student assistance programs and provide support to staff and families as needed during a time of crisis.• Follow district, department and school policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and/or guidelines, and the provisions of the contract.• Other duties as assigned in Psychologist job description.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insuranceSchedule:No weekendsWork Location: In person
