Duties include overseeing all aspects of cardiac care delivered to referred patients and participating in daily ambulatory/outpatient Cardiology clinic services at our Northport VA Healthcare Systems VA Medical Center. The Cardiologist will consult, manage, and provide education and counseling to veterans in preventative care and apply evidence-based care for various cardiac conditions while supervising comprehensive outpatient cardiac procedures. The facility can perform a wide variety of outpatient Cardiology services, including EKG and Arrhythmia monitoring interpretation, echocardiograms, exercise and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms, Transesophageal echocardiograms, and cardioversions. The Cardiologist will establish a professional relationship with clinical service providers within the outpatient center, provide telephone and curbside consultations, and screen consultative and procedural requests for appropriateness.
