This position offers an opportunity for a skilled CT and Radiologic Technologist specializing in dual modality imaging within a freestanding emergency department environment. The role is based in Kannapolis, NC, and is a contract assignment designed for experienced technologists proficient in both diagnostic X-ray and CT imaging. The facility serves a 14-bed emergency department with advanced imaging technology, contributing to comprehensive patient care. Schedule & Shift 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00) Rotation includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Weekend position with holiday and on-call requirements On-call includes (3) 12-hour shifts per month with floating between two nearby locations approximately 20-25 minutes apart Responsibilities Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging in both digital X-ray and CT modalities, including Code Stroke scans Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment such as the GE 16-slice CT scanner and Philips/Siemens radiology systems Work independently within a team-oriented department supporting emergency patients with a variety of critical conditions Collaborate with remote radiologists interpreting scans and ensure patient safety throughout procedures Participate in on-call rotations and provide flexible support across nearby emergency service departments Complete orientation and adhere to department dress code and protocols Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 1 year of specialty experience, preferably in an emergency or trauma setting Certified and licensed as a Dual Modality DX/CT Technologist with ARRT (R)(CT) certification Current BLS certification required; ACLS is highly desirable Comfortable working independently and managing a varied caseload in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with EPIC EMR, Phillips ISite/PACS, and 3D post-processing software (Tera Recon) preferred Benefits & Perks Employee parking provided free of charge Supportive, team-oriented work culture Opportunity to gain diverse clinical experience in a fast-paced ED setting This contract opportunity is ideal for motivated imaging professionals ready to bring their expertise to an engaging emergency care setting.
