A specialty compounding pharmacy is currently seeking two skilled pharmacists to support sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical preparations. This 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity offers the chance to work in a focused environment producing personalized compounds tailored to individual patient needs. Located in Kennett Square, PA, the role involves working under the direction of the Pharmacy Supervisor to ensure all compounded medications meet stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in sterile compounding, compliance with USP guidelines, and the ability to collaborate effectively with prescription dispensing staff. Key Responsibilities: Verify accuracy of compounded sterile and non-sterile preparations following master formula worksheets. Adhere to and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Maintain compliance with USP , , and standards. Perform aseptic techniques with precision and ensure proper garbing and cleaning protocols. Operate specialized production equipment and computerized systems in adherence to quality standards. Conduct quality control tests to confirm the accuracy and safety of all compounded preparations. Prepare work areas meticulously in advance of production activities. Provide patient counseling on compounded, prescription, and over-the-counter medications. Stay current with advances in compounding techniques and pharmaceutical formulations. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license is required. Proven recent experience in pharmacy practice. Background and proficiency in sterile compounding is mandatory. Excellent attendance and reliability are crucial for this role. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
