Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, managerial position, and days of work and hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm. Note: This position is in the "NL" category of employment (non-fixed work week) and individuals in this role have no claim or entitlement to time off or cash compensation for hours worked beyond their normal schedule. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Compensatory time will not be granted for work done as an extension of the regular work day. Job Summary: Ramapo College of New Jersey invites applications for a Healthcare Career Development Coordinator in the School of Theoretical and Applied Science (TAS). Reporting to the Dean of TAS, this role will advance student pathways in nursing and healthcare while strengthening the College's partnerships with regional healthcare providers. The Coordinator will support the development of innovative curricula and community collaborations that respond to growing workforce needs. The Coordinator will collaborate within the College to advance measurable enrollment, revenue, and student success goals. This is a results-oriented position with responsibility for advancing pre-health professions pathways with clear performance metrics for success. Examples of Duties Duties and Responsibilities * Collaborate with TAS dean and faculty and college academic leaders to expand nursing and healthcare-related curricula, ensuring alignment with workforce needs, licensure requirements. * Establish and sustain partnerships with hospitals, clinics, public health agencies, long-term care providers, and professional schools to expand experiential learning opportunities, employment pipelines, and health profession school entrance. * Maintain compliance of continuing education, certificate programs, health program articulation agreements, and customized professional development programs to support regional healthcare employers and adult learners. * Collaboration with faculty, advisors, and external partners to inform and develop support programs for pre-health professional pathways (e.g., pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-PA, pre-pharmacy). * Support TAS students in exploring healthcare careers by connecting external partners offering internships, clinical placements, shadowing, and career advising with the College's Cahill Career Development Center. * Maintain knowledge of healthcare workforce and credentialing trends in New Jersey and the region to guide program development and effectiveness * Collaborate with faculty and administrators on academic-to-career pathways, including nursing pathways, 2+2/BSN partnerships, pre-professional health preparation, medical technician and radiology, and advanced certifications. * Define, track, and report metrics and outcomes related to enrollment growth, revenue generation, employer partnerships, student placement rates, and program sustainability. Metrics for success * Achievement of enrollment targets in healthcare-related degree and certificate programs. * Growth in program revenue from continuing education, professional development, and partnerships. * Increased number and quality of healthcare employer partnerships and experiential learning opportunities. * Documented student success outcomes (e.g., healthcare program admission, student persistence, job placement, licensure pass rates). * Full compliance with regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements.
