Provide expert pharmaceutical care as a Staff Pharmacist in a 60-bed community hospital located in a unique desert setting between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work a stable day-shift schedule with minimal on-call responsibilities, supported by remote services for after-hours order processing. Responsibilities: Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions within a hospital setting. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy. Utilize MedHost EMR and Sentri 7 Clinical Surveillance software to monitor patient medication profiles. Manage and maintain inventory through Pyxis ADC systems. Participate in on-call rotation with minimal after-hours demands, supported by remote processing. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active California Pharmacist license. Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Proficiency or willingness to quickly learn MedHost EMR, Sentri 7, and Pyxis ADC systems. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Location: Barstow, California, a desert community offering a quieter lifestyle approximately halfway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour day shifts. Minimal on-call duties. This contract opportunity is available for a 13-week duration with an ASAP start.
