Performs routine supervisory work in the safekeeping of youth who have been placed in a secure detention and shelter care by enforcing rules, maintaining order, and monitoring activities.To view complete job description, please follow link below: Examples of Duties Supervision of youth in a restrictive detention environment and shelter care facility;Conduct intake interviews of youth and document youth behaviors and emotional status;Provides basic care and supervision to youth;Monitors and assesses the behavioral and emotional characteristics of referred youth and provides additional supervision to prevent self-harm as needed;Regularly communicates orally, and in writing, any changes to youth, to all members of the youth care facility. Minimum Qualifications Education/Experience/Training:Graduation from a college or university of recognized standing with a bachelor's degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or closely related field; orAssociate degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or closely related field; and two (2) years' experience working with youth in crisis.
