Evaluation Completed by Assistant Superintendent JOB GOAL(S): The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) reports to the Assistant Superintendent for Student Services and collaborates with intervention teams, assistant principals, and staff to develop and implement coordinated positive behavior intervention programs. The role supports students in accessing instruction and achieving academic progress in the least restrictive environment through evidence-based practices. MAJOR DUTIES & PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: The criteria indicated below are intended to describe various types of work that may be performed. The exclusion of specific responsibilities does not prohibit them if the work is similar, related, or a logical position task. * Design and oversee behavior management programs for the Student Services Department. * Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). * Plan and provide positive behavior interventions for students, classrooms, and school sites, to students as assigned. * Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Functional Assessments (FA), analyze data, and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). * Consult with school staff to develop, monitor, and evaluate behavior strategies for general and special education students. * Train and coordinate instructional assistants and other staff on behavior intervention programs. * Collaborate with families and service providers to ensure continuity of care. * Participate in meetings, including IEPs and team discussions, as needed. * Supervise and support staff in implementing behavior plans and interventions. * Manage caseloads, prepare documentation, and generate timely reports. * Evaluate and modify treatment plans based on data and effectiveness. * Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and legal standards. * Strong problem-solving and data analysis shills. * Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including families and staff. * Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality. * Creativity and resourcefulness in addressing challenges and improving processes. * Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and graduate students as assigned. * Initiate services for new students promptly upon receiving assignments. * Perform other duties as assigned to support the department's goals.
