Health Center Inc. (also known as The New York Hotel Trades Council and Hotel Association of NYC, Inc Employee Benefit Funds) is a NYC based healthcare organization with ambulatory care facilities staffed with a wide range of health professionals to provide extensive medical and diagnostic services. We offer Primary Care, Dental, Radiological, Vision, Mental Health, and other Specialist services at our facilities at no charge to our Union members (which consist of hotel employees), removing the financial roadblock that many people face when trying to obtain quality medical care. We are looking for a Neurologist for our either our Midtown, Queens, or Brooklyn location to help in our mission of providing top notch medical services to our Union members. It's an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to make an impact for under-represented communities and have a stable work schedule (No weekends and no overnights!)Duties and Responsibilities:Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with neurological disorders such as:Stroke and cerebrovascular diseaseEpilepsy and seizure disordersMultiple sclerosisParkinson's disease and movement disordersNeuromuscular disordersHeadaches and migrainesDementia and cognitive disordersPerform or interpreting diagnostic tests including:EEG (electroencephalogram)EMG (electromyography)Nerve conduction studiesLumbar puncturesNeuroimaging studies (MRI, CT scans)Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and therapeutic interventionsProvide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive careMaintain accurate and detailed medical records.Stay current with advancements in neurology through continuing medical education (CME).Education and Experience:Active, unrestricted New York State Physician LicenseDEA CertificateBCLS CertificationInfection Control CertificateCompleted NYS Department of Health mandated prescriber education in pain management, palliative care, addiction within the past 3 yearsBoard Certified or Board Eligible in NeurologyActive NPI NumberBenefits Include:Competitive salaryHospital, Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits at no cost to all benefits-eligible employees and their eligible dependentsPaid Time Off (Vacation, Personal, Sick Time, and 12 paid Holidays)401(k) Plan with employer contributionLife InsuranceTuition ReimbursementLicense fee reimbursement
